The only victim who was killed in the attack of Finsbury Park mosque in London on early Monday (June 19) has been identified as an elderly Bangladeshi expatriate.
However, further details about the deceased could not be known immediately, reports one of UK's leading news media on Monday (June 19), citing a volunteer named Sultan Ahmed, 34.
According to earlier reports of the incident, a man was killed and 10 others injured after a man drove a van into worshippers near a north London mosque. Police said eight were taken to hospital and several were seriously injured in the “terrorist attack”, reports the BBC.
Police said all the victims were Muslim and that a 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Eyewitness Abdul Rahman said the driver said he wanted to “kill all Muslims”.
