DHAKA: India’s SVF Music aka Shree Venkatesh Films has initiated a live musical concert marking the Valentine's Day in Kolkata.
Bangladeshi rockstar Mahfuz Anam James and popular singer Oyshee Fatima Tuz Zahra have been invited to perform at the Indo-Bangla concert titled ‘Gaan Piriti’ at Nazrul Mancha of Kolkata on February 14.
This concert is first of its kind to Oyshee though she toured several times to India earlier.
“Feeling honored by getting the call for joining such a large arrangement. SVF has maintained international standard necessities to hold the concert, in every aspects”, Oyshee told Banglanews Saturday (February 3).
“From Bangladesh, James bhai and I are going to perform.”
“The concert has been arranged as an onset of SVF’s consecutive season-based musical initiative. Bangla song lovers from Kolkata have been given major concentration at the Feb 14 concert under the first season”, she added.
Oyshee further said that she has planned to sing several of her own numbers apart from a few Bangla folk songs.
However, the concert will also feature Anupom Roy, Iman Chakraborty and Fossils from India. UK-based Indian singer-songwriter Shahana Bajpie will also perform.
Launching at 5:00pm, the concert is scheduled to continue till 11:00pm.
SVF Music, a subsidiary of SVF Entertainment, is a reputed Bengali music label in India that mainly releases the soundtracks to the films SVF produces.
