DHAKA: Musician Xefer Rahman recently released one of her latest tracks made upon the inhuman sufferings of persecuted Rohingya minorities from Myanmar’s Rakhine state.

Titled ‘Rohingya’s Cry’, the song was set free on Xefer’s YouTube channel, on occasion of the International Human Rights Day on December 9.

Samir Hafiz penned the lyrics of ‘Rohigya’s Cry’ and did the composition along with Shahrin Shariar.

Star Cineplex produced the video for the song.

Xefer said that the song has been executed as a humanitarian call for the oppressed and vulnerable minorities.

Echoing Xefer, Star Cineplex Chairman Mahboob Rahman said that the venture was initiated from the responsibility as a human being, in wake of the inhuman persecution of the Rohingyas.
