DHAKA: Thousands of people from all walks of life thronged Central Shaheed Minar premises to give their farewell to the legendary film star Abdur Razzak on Tuesday afternoon (Aug 22).
‘Nayakraj’ Razzak breathed his last on Monday evening at the age of 75.
Earlier, his first namaj-e-janaza was held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC) premises around 11:45am where common people, artists, actors and film stars poured in to pay their homage to this great hero.
Razzak’s body was taken to Central Shaheed Minar from the FDC around 12:30 noon where well wishers of Razzak, co-workers and hundreds of fans laid their tribute with a heavy heart and great respect.
According to family sources, Razzak died in city’s United Hospital around 6:10 pm following a heart attack.
