DHAKA: Four people were killed in separate incidents in the capital from late Wednesday to early Thursday.
Confirming the matter, Dhaka Medical college Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-charge SI Bacchu Mia said the bodies are kept in hospital morgue.
He said an unidentified woman was injured after getting hit by a Narayanganj-bound train in city’s Jurain area on Wednesday night. Later locals rescued her to DMCH where duty-doctor pronounced her dead at midnight.
Another housewife, Nadi, 25, committed suicide by hanging over family dispute in Dakshinkhan Faidabad area. Her husband took her to DMCH at midnight where doctor declared her dead.
In another case, a man by the name Imam Hossain, 45, was electrocuted to death while repairing a fan in north Merul Badda area.
Meanwhile, a college student, Mousumi Akhter Mitu, 20, committed suicide by hanging in Dakshin Mugda area of Dhaka on Thursday morning (July 12). She was an Honors student of Tikatuli Central Women's University.
