CHITTAGONG: Chittagong District Administration executive magistrate Syed Murad Ali intercepted a bus full of SSC examinees with leaked physics question paper at their cell phones in Chittagong just an hour before the exam started on Tuesday morning (February 13).
The incident took place around 9:15am near Jamiatul Falah mosque in Chittagong city.
Bangladesh Women's Association School & College, which is next to the mosque, is the SSC test center where the students were heading.
Executive Magistrate Syed Murad Ali told Banglanews that a few days ago he first noticed that some students of Patia Ideal School were gathered outside of the test center looking at something on their cell phones.
“I kept the matter under surveillance. About an hour before today’s examination, a Shyamoli Paribahan bus carrying 56 examinees stopped on the road next to the mosque. I immediately conducted a drive into the bus with law enforcers and recovered 8 smartphones with leaked ‘Kha’ set physics question and answers inside a phone messenger called WhatsApp.”
However, the examinees were allowed to take the examination on humanitarian ground, he added.
Syaed Murad further said that a powerful syndicate is involved in the question paper leak. Some of the ring members including teachers were already held.
