DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to leave Dhaka for Rome on Sunday (February 11) to attend the governing council meeting of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
An Emirates Airlines flight EK-583 carrying the Prime Minister will for Italy from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9:55am Sunday.
According to Prime Minister Office (PMO) sources, the flight is scheduled to land at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (also called Fiumicino Airport) in Rome at 6:45pm (local time) after a taking a short break in Dubai.
Bangladesh ambassador in Italy Abdus Sobhan Shiqdar, representatives of Italy government and senior officials of IFAD will receive PM Hasina at the airport.
Then, the premier will be escorted to Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel where she will be staying during the visit.
On Monday morning (Feb 12), PM is scheduled to go to Vatican City in an official visit to meet Pope Francis. She will also attend a dinner party organized by Bangladesh high commission at Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel in the evening.
On Tuesday morning (Feb 13), the premier will go to IFAD headquarters to join the 41st governing council meeting. At the evening, Sheikh Hasina will also attend a meeting organized by Bangladesh Community in Rome at her hotel.
The PM will leave Rome on Wednesday and expected to arrive in Dhaka at 8:00am Thursday (Feb 15).
