GAZIPUR: The offering of Akheri Mujajat (concluding prayers) and Hedayati Boyan (guidance sermon) will be read out in Bangla language for the maiden occasion at the Biswa Ijtema.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Tablig Jamaat Murabbis (scholars) on Friday night (January 12), Tablig Jamaat's senior leader Md Gias Uddin told Banglanews.
“Senior Islamic scholar of Kakrail mosque Hafez Mawlana Mohammad Zubaer will lead the Akheri Munajat this time. Moreover, Maulana Abdul Matin of Bangladesh will give the Hedayati Boyan in Bangla, prior to the Akheri Munajat”, said Md Gias Uddin.
The Akheri Munajat of the first phase of Ijtema would be offered between 10am-11am Sunday (January 14), he added.
However, the first phase of 53rd Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of the Muslims, began on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi on the outskirts of the city Friday (January 12).
The second phase of the Tongi Ijtema will begin on January 19 at the same venue and it is scheduled to end with Akheri Munajat (final prayers) on January 21.
Thousands of devotees from home and abroad are participating in the religious event, to seek Allah’s divine mercy.
