DHAKA: Bangladesh Army will supervise the Padma bridge rail communication project to help implement in due time keeping its international standard intact.
An agreement was signed between Bangladesh Railway and Army’s Construction Supervision Consultant Cell Core of Engineering in this regard in city’s rail building around 9:30am Sunday (January 1).
Project director Sukumar Bhoumik and CSC project manager colonel Abul Kalam Azad were present on behalf of their organizations.
Rail minister Muzibul Hoque, addressing as a chief guest, hoped that the vehicle plying through road and rail links on the Padma will be started at the end of 2018.
