The decision was taken at the 233rd syndicate meeting of the university held on Monday (March 06).

IU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid Ashkari told the Banglanews that they have taken the decision, as involvement of the teacher and others in question paper leakage have been proved in the investigation.

Alongside the suspension, a fresh admission test will also be taken for the unit.

On the other hand, Monozit Kumar Mandal, an MA student of the Mathematics department, was expelled from the university.
