Admission fraud: DU cancels results of 12 students

DHAKA: Dhaka University cancelled all-level examination results of twelve students of the departments of International Relations and Public Administration as they were found guilty of admission scam.

“The decision came from a syndicate meeting held Wednesday on the basis of a report submitted by a probe body, which was formed to investigate the allegations,” said a release from Dhaka University Public Relations Department.

The students of International Relations whose results were canceled are Ainal Haq (Hons, roll-104, F Rahman Hall), Md. Anisur Rahman (Hons, roll-112, F Rahman Hall), Farhana Rahman (Hons, roll-116, Bangladesh-Kuwait Moitri Hall), Md. Rezaul Islam Khan (Hons, roll-130, Zia Hall), Somel Mahmud (Hons, roll-60, F Rahman Hall), Abdullah Al Roman (Hons, roll-127, F Rahman Hall), Md. Majharul Islam (Hons, roll-131, F Rahman Hall), Samina Syed (Hons, roll-112, Bangladesh-Kuwait Moitri Hall), and Nusrat Sharmin (Hons, roll-128, Bangladesh-Kuwait Moitri Hall).

Under the action from the Public Administration Department are Jakia Sultana (Hons, roll-177, Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall), Md. Shah Alam (Hons, roll-253, F Rahman Hall), Najia Ahmed (Hons, roll-176, Rokeya Hall) and Najia Ahmed (MSS, roll-176, Rokeya Hall).
