DHAKA: Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd Chairman Arastoo Khan has resigned Tuesday (April 17).

He placed the resignation letter, at a meeting of the board of directors of the bank. He showed personal reason as the cause of resignation .  

Meanwhile, photo of Arastoo was found removed from the bank website.

In early April, five top officials of the bank’s managing committee were dismissed. The bank authority then claimed that each of the five officials have resigned willingly.

However, Arastoo was appointed chairman of the bank on January 5, 2017.
