GDCL, BSPL sign mandate Mandate signing ceremony of GDCL and BSPL

Green Delta Capital Limited (GDCL) has signed a mandate on March 27 with Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited (BSPL) where GDCL will act as Mandated Lead Arranger to raise short term financing and issuance of Preference share for BSPL.

Md. Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director & CEO of Green Delta Capital Limited and Gulam Rabbani Chowdhury, Managing Director of Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited (BSPL) have signed the mandate on behalf of their respective organizations. 

Nasir A Choudhury, Chairman of GDCL; Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman of Baraka Group, Mohammad Monirul Islam, Director- Finance & Company Secretary of BSPL along with other Officials from both GDCL and BSPL were present in this signing ceremony. 

Green Delta Capital Limited (GDCL) is a full-fledged merchant bank where GDCL is working relentlessly to improve the socio economic conditions of Bangladesh. The power sector of Bangladesh is one of the Thrust Sector which has getting Govt. attention. Currently the Government of Bangladesh has the future plan to generate 24,000 MW power by 2021 and 60,000 MW by 2041. In line with the Govt. vision, GDCL is working with Power Sector to meet their financing need to improve the potentiality of Power Sector.

Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited (BSPL) is the subsidiary of Baraka Patenga Power Limited (BPPL) and was incorporated on December 13, 2017 as a private limited company. BSPL has got the LOI from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB)for implementing HFO fired IPP power plant having capacity of 105 MW on BOO (Build, Own, Operate) basis at Shikalbaha, Chittagong for term of 15 years.
