DHAKA: Captain Ishtiaque Hossain, a senior Captain of Boeing 777 in Biman Bangladesh Airlines, has been permanently nominated as a full member of International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI).
It is a United States (US) based sole organization specifically created for the air safety investigators and the aircraft accident prevention professionals of the world.
He is the first Bangladeshi to become the permanent member of this prestigious organization, said a press release on Sunday (September 25).
ISASI was founded under articles of incorporation in the District of Columbia on August 14, 1964.
Captain Ishtiaque Hossain is also the Regional Vice-President of Montreal- Canada based International Federation of Airlines Pilots’ Association (IFALPA)-the Global Voice of the Pilots’ which works closely with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The ICAO is a specialized agency of the United Nations Organization and International Labour Organisation (ILO).
He is one of the Pioneer airline pilots of Bangladesh who has international accreditation as an Aircraft Accident Investigator (AAI).
