Dhaka-Delhi flight from April

DHAKA: Civil aviation and tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon made assurance that the much-waited Dhaka-Delhi flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start from April.

The minister made this assurance while talking to Indian high commissioner in Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla in the former’s ministry office in city on Monday (March 14).

The high commissioner said the London-bound passenger from India’s Shilong will feel comfort if they can use Sylhet airport and the Shilong passengers can travel world-famous Bangladesh tourist spot Cox’s Bazar from Sylhet using the airport.

The minister also assured that they will consider the matter sincerely.

While the Bangladesh minister stated that the Teasta treaty is very import for the country to save environment and human life of the northern part of Bangladesh, the high commissioner said India is aware of the situation.

The high commissioner also promised that the number of scholarships for Bangladeshi students will increase in future.
