BD-Myanmar air route to be open soon

DHAKA : Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Faruk Khan said the flight will be opened soon on Bangladesh-Myanmar route.
The aviation minister came up with the disclosure while addressing a function on the occasion of the first anniversary of Bangladesh-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BMCCI) at a hotel in the city Thursday.
All the processes are now at final stage to start the new route, Faruk said. “Any national or foreign agency can operate flight in this route,” he said.
Terming Myanmar as friendly country, the ruling Awami League said it is possible to resolve any problem between the two countries through dialogue.
With BMCCI president KB Ahmed in the chair, the programme was also addressed, among others, by commerce minister Golam Mohammad Quader, Myanmar lawmaker U Yen Win, former secretary Karar Mahmudul Hasan.
