Voting begins to select best photographs

DHAKA: The voting to select the best photographs of Banglanews-Walton Photography Competition began Wednesday.
banglanews24.com, the first online news portal of the country, organized the photography completion titled ‘Be a Photojournalist’ in association with Walton High-tech Industries Limited, the leading electronics company of the country.
Voting will remain open till midnight of June 30 and the best photographs and names of photographers will be declared on July 1.
Over two thousand photographers submitted some four thousand pictures from the beginning of the competition on May 22 till June 10.
Judges panel comprising Syed Jakir Hossain and Jibon Amir selected 200 pictures for voting. The best photographs will be selected by likes of the facebook users.
An exhibition with best 30 photographs of the competition will be held and the best 12 of them will be published in the calendar of banglanews of 2013.
