Nat’l population policy finalized

DHAKA: State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mujibur Rahman Fakir Tuesday said the government finalized the national population policy.
The minister came up with the disclosure at a press conference on the occasion of the World Population Day at his secretariat office in the city.
He said the policy would be tabled in the cabinet meeting for approval by the next 15 days.
World Population Day will be observed on Wednesday with elaborate programmes to be chalked out by the government.
Prime Minister’s Health and Family Welfare Adviser Professor Dr Syed Modasser Ali, Directorate General of Family Planning Khorshed Alam Chowdhury were among others present at the briefing.
