Mozena for deal among political parties

DHAKA: US Ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena said political parties could reach a deal in ensuring free, fair and acceptable national elections.
Mentioning that he does not know when the agreement would be made, he said it is better as soon as the deal is made.
The US Ambassador came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion meeting on US-BD relationship in a city hotel Monday.
He said the country does have an enormous interest over Bangladesh due to its secularism, moderate democratic alternative to violent extremism.
The US envoy also said this is a model country for others. The country has become a strategic partner of the US, he said.

He said the official tour of US high-ups, including Hillary Clinton, proved that something special is happening here.
