Train tickets 10-day before Eid: Obidul

DHAKA: Communications and railway minister Obidul Quader said the railway authority will start selling train tickets 10 days before the Eid in a bid to case home-bound people’s sufferings.
He said, “A total of 41 special trains will run on inter-city routes and 150 coaches will be added. Besides, we will take strong action against black marketing.”
He came up with the announcement while addressing a press meet at city’s railway building on Sunday.
Obidul said, “The inter-city trains will be operated everyday without any weekly holiday from August 18.”
Regarding the road communication during Eid, he said, “BRTC will provide special service from five days before the festival. Under the special service, over 130 buses will be operated.”
