DHAKA: Jumaa’tul Wida, the last Friday congregation in the holy month of Ramadan, will be observed across the country with religious fervour.

Devotees will offer weekly Jumaa and special prayers seeking divine blessings for peace and prosperity of the country and unity of the Muslim Ummah.

After Jumaa’tul Wida of Ramadan, a good number of city-dwellers will leave the capital to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with near and dear ones.

The largest ‘Jumaa’tul Wida’ congregation will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital. Devotees will take part in the congregation and will seek blessings of Allah.

Khateebs and Ulema will deliver special sermons on the occasion and call for greater unity among the world Muslims to face the present-day challenges.

If the Shawal moon is not sighted anywhere in the country on Saturday evening, Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be celebrated Monday in the country after full 30 days’ fasting.
