406 students receive stipends in M’singh

MYMEMSINGH: A total of 406 meritorious students of the district, who made brilliant results in SSC and HSC examinations in 2011, were given stipends.
Mymensingh Zilla Parishad organised the stipend distribution ceremony held at Zilla Parishad auditorium on Wednesday
Advocate Zahirul Haque Khoka, administrator of the Zilla Parisad, distributed the checks among the GPA 5 achievers with chief executive of the parishad Hasanul Islam in the chair.
The chief guest distributed checks of Tk over eight lakh among 406 golden GPA and GPA 5 holders.
Of the total, 100 golden GPA acquired students received Tk 250,000 and each got Tk 2,500.
Moreover, 290 GPA 5 students received Tk 580,000 and each got Tk 2000.
