Expatriate son stabs father to death in Sylhet

SYLHET: An expatriate stabbed his father to death and injured her wife in Athalia Surma residential area of the city Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Haji Aftab Ali, 65, hailed from Dawdkandi village of Osmaninagar Tajpur area.
The killer son is Aktar Hossain Dipu and his wife is Sabina begum.
Family sources said, UK expatriate Dipu stabbed his father with sharp knife following a family feud around 8:00pm and left his father and her wife injured critically.
Later, locals confined Dipu and rushed them to Osmai Hospital. But Aftab succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
Jalalabad Thana Officer-in-Charge Gausul Azam told banglanews24.com, primary investigation says Dipu killed his father since he was suffering from mental disorder.
