Muhith leaves for Kolkata Wednesday

DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith is going to Kolkata of India Wednesday on a 3-day official visit to join the 90th anniversary of poem ‘Bdirohi’ of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
The finance minister is set to visit Kolkata and Bardhaman during three-day programme.
Confirming the matter to banglanews, a source from Finance Ministry said that AMA Muhith will return Dhaka Saturday.
Bidrohi Kobi (Rebel Poet) Kazi Nazrul Islam was born on May 24, 1899 in Churulia village in the Indian state of West Bengal.
His poem ‘Bidrohi’ was published in 1922 which was an inspiration to the Bangalees during the anti-British movements.
The national poet died on August 29, 1976 at the age of 77.
