Section 144 imposed in Dhamrai

DHAMRAI (DHAKA): The local administration Wednesday imposed section 144 in Barbaria Bazar area under Dhamrai upazila of the district as two factions of BNP have arranged Iftar party at the same place on the same day.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Zahirul Islam imposed the section 144 in the area to be enforced from 3:00pm on the day until further notice.
Sources said apprehending disturbance in law-and-order, the local administration imposed section 144 on the venue and surrounding areas and deployed police forces to avert any untoward situation.
