‘Bangladesh Aviation Academy’ soon
DHAKA: To meet the acute shortage of airline professionals in Bangladesh, as well as in other parts of the world, a group of airline professionals and aviation experts of the country have joined hands to launch a new international standard training institute, styled as Bangladesh Aviation Academy.
The Academy aims to serve the aviation sector by creating skilled professionals for the world’s largest industry, which is growing with over 9% annually in Bangladesh, as forecasted by European plane maker Airbus industry.
BAA will offer six courses of three months duration each initially – Airline Standard Grooming, Airline Sales & Marketing, Airline Reservation and Ticketing, Airport Ground Operations & Customer Service and Destination & Holiday Managements.
BAA sources said, a group of high experienced local faculty will take regular classes based on internationally accredited curriculum.
Admissions of various courses are now open and classes of Bangladesh Aviation Academy will begin on August 1.
Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of the Bangladesh Monitor, an aviation expert Ghazi Salahuddin, a Senior Airline professional and others, having airline background have joined hands to offer international standard courses at the Academy.
Kazi Wahidul Alam said, “Bangladeshis will be able to avail world class training and join the ranks of aviation professionals with the training we’ll be providing at the Academy. Theoretical classes will be followed by practical on the hands training in respective fields.”
