
City traffic jam to be eased: Obaidul

DHAKA: Communications and Railways Minister Obaidul Quader categorically said that the traffic jam in the city would be eased and it would be made better if Awami League comes in power next.
The minister came up with the hope Friday in discussion at Sarak Bhaban auditorium in the city.
Obaidul Quader said, “The political rally-processions make the city more traffic congested as it has less space in proportion to city dwellers and we will leave no stone unturned to make this situation bearable.”
The illegally grabbed roads and footpaths would be recovered soon through forming a coordination committee of RAJUK, city corporations, DTCB and BRTC, he added.
Among others, the discussion was also attended, by BRTA chairman Aiyubur Rahman, DMP Commissioner Benajir Ahmed, BRTC chairman Maj Gen (retd) MM Iqbal.
