1 killed, 35 injured in Dhamrai road accident

DHAMRAI, DHAKA: A person was killed and 35 others injured as a bus fell into a roadside ditch in Bathuli area on Dhaka-Aricha Highway on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sharif Hossain, 35, son of Mintu Mia of Khukshi village of Kushtia district.
Sub-Inspector of Dhamrai Thana Masud Hossain told banglanews, an Aricha bound passenger bus fell into a ditch as its driver lost control over its steering in the area at 4:00pm, leaving Sharif dead on the spot and some 35 people injured.
Of the injured, Abdus Sobhan, Shaharar, Nayeb Hossain, Jewel, and Masudur were in critical condition.
The injured were rushed to Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex, Manikganj Sadar Hospital and Dhaka Orthopedic Hospital.
