30 shops burnt in Comilla fire

COMILLA: A devastating fire burnt down at least 30 shops in Gauripur Bazar area under Daudkandi Upazila of the district early Monday.
On information, two firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control at around 4:30am after two hours of frantic efforts.
Daudkandi Thana SI Jahangir Alam told banglanews, “The fire originated from a electric short circuit at a shop in Gauripur Bazar area and soon engulfed the other nearby shops at around 2:30am.”
Around 30 small and big shops were gutted in the fire, he added.
