DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia called an emergency meeting to talk with senior leaders of the party on Tuesday night at her political office.
Joint secretary general of the party Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
A party source said the meeting would discuss about arrest of BNP’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam and others leaders and activists and ongoing political situation.
Meanwhile, a Dhaka court sent Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to jail.
