DHAKA: A 7-member probe body was formed on Sunday to investigate into the devastating fire incident at the readymade garment (RMG) factory in capital’s outskirts Ashilia that broke out on Saturday night.
The probe body led by additional commissioner of Dhaka division was also asked to submit its report within next three days.
A news release signed by Dhaka Divisional Commission AN Shamsuddin confirmed matter Sunday.
The body comprised of the representatives of police, district administration, fire service and civil defense, BGMEA, labor directorate and garment workers’ association.
The body was asked to find the reason and trace the responsible persons behind the blaze.
At least 112 garment workers were died in the fire. Number of deceased may raise, said eyewitnesses and reporters on the spot.
