DHAKA: A Dhaka Court Tuesday placed BNP Education Affairs Secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon and Juba Dal Assistant Organizing Secretary M Jilani on remand in a case filed for torching vehicles in front of BNP central office at Naya Paltan on April 29.
Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim passed the order after the remand hearing and sent him to jail.
On June 4, opposition BNP education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon was shown arrest in a murder case with Khilgaon Thana.
The BNP leader was arrested again from the jail gate Monday when he walked out from jail on bail in a hartal case.
With 10-day remand plea investigation officer of Badar murder case produced him before court.
Rejecting the bail prayer, Judge of Additional Chief Metropolitan Judge Court Saifur Rahman fixed June 12 for remand hearing due to lack of necessary documents in this regard.
On June 22, a Dhaka Court on Tuesday placed BNP central leader Khairul Kabir Khokon on a four-day remand in a case filed for torching vehicles in front of BNP central office at Naya Paltan on April 29.
On May 17, police arrested the Narsingdi district BNP president from in front of party’s Naya Paltan office during the dawn-to-dusk shutdown.
Later, he was shown arrested in the case filed with Paltan Police Station and sent to jail.
