2 minors drown in Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT: Two children drowned in Sati River near Boro Kamla Bari area in Aditmari upazila of the district on Friday evening.

The deceased were identified as Rojina Khatun, 9, daughter of Atabar Hossain and Karima Khatun, 8, daughter of Siddique Hossain. Both were class four student of Kamla Bari Primary School.

Aditmari thana source said the children drowned around 5:30pm while collecting water Lily from the river.

Later, locals recovered their bodies from the river, said police.
