BOGRA: District Motor Workers’ Union went on an indefinite strike on Sunday morning following a dispute between authorities of two intercity bus services.
Senior vice president of Bogra Motor Workers’ Union Quamrul Morshed said, “We enforced the strike on behalf of Shah Fathe Ali Paribahan as the workers of Ekata Paribahan are obstructing them to ply buses on Bogra-Dhaka route.”
Road communications between Dhaka and the northern part of the country including Bogra through 14 routes has been halted due to the strike.
