BRAHMANBARIA: At least three people were killed and two others injured as a passenger bus rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Bijoynagar area on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Confirming the matter to Banglanews, Sub-Inspector of Ismalpur Thana police outpost Nur Hossain said, “A Sylhet-bound passenger bus of Shyamoli Paribahan hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Bijoynagar area around 12:45pm, killing two people on the spot and injuring the others.
Injured were rushed into district sadar hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries around 1:30pm.
The casualties were the passengers of the auto rickshaw and the bodies were sent to district sadar hospital for autopsy, he added.
