No MP sticker on car

DHAKA: The parliament secretariat has prohibited using ‘Parliament Member or Parliament Secretariat’ on cars.

But metal disk inscribing ‘Parliament Member’ can be used on car.

Sergeant at Arms Captain of parliament AKM Faruk said, “The initiative was taken to strengthen the security of the parliament Bhaban and a public circular will be published in this regard.”

The speaker of the parliament has taken the decision as most MPs do not using sticker-tagged car, moreover those are used in evil deeds, he added.

Lawmaker Apu Ukil submitted a notice in the JS session which reads that some 30 drug dealers groups are severally using MP sticker-tagged cars.”

Later in a meeting with high officials of the parliament, speaker Advocate Abdul Hamid took the decision.
