DHAKA: A garment worker allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in the city’s Majar road area under Shah Ali Thana on late Friday.
The deceased was identified as Lavli, 18, wife of Bajlu Mia and a garment worker.
Lavli’s elder brother Hannan said, the couple worked at Sister Garments and got married before four months but there was some family dispute between them.
He said Bajlu found her hanging when he got up from the sleep hearing some sound and rushed her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
No case will be filed regarding the matter, he added.
