BHOLA: Fishermen caught three dacoits at red hand in Hakimuddin area under Borhanuddin upazila and handed them over to the police early Friday.
The detained are Bahadur, 45, son of Shahid of Shonapur union, Nuruddin, 20, son of Alauddin of Atkapat area and Mahe Alam, 25, son of Abdul Malek of Hashnagar union.
Hakimuddin fish trader Ujjal said, “The dacoits tried to loot the trawler while eight fishermen were fishing on Meghna River in Hakimuddin area around 12:00am.”
He said, “The fishermen caught three dacoits while the others fled the scene.”
Later, police rushed in and brought them to the Thana.
Borhanuddin Thana SI Khairul Alam confirmed the matter.
