DHAKA: Visiting West Indies beat Bangladesh by 18 runs in the lone T20 match at Shere Bangla National Stadium in city’s Mirpur on Monday.
Bangladesh lost one wicket to score 179 runs in stipulated over.
Tamim and mahmudullah scored 88 and 64 runs respectively.
Roach bagged one wicket.
Earlier, West Indies lost four wickets to score 197 runs in 20 over.
Samules and Bravo scored 85 and 41 runs resoectively.
Rubel Hossain bagged the wickets of Gayle and Smith while Sohag and Ziaur got one wicket each.
Earlier, West Indies captain Thomas won the toss and decided to bat first.
For the West Indies, Permaul, Rampaul, Powell and Holder are NOT playing. Bangladesh have called up Ziaur Rahman and Rubel Hossain while Elias Sunny and Jahurul Islam miss out.
The Test series was won by the West Indies before the hosts came storming back to clinch the ODIs - keenly fought over five games.
Earlier Bangladesh won the five-match ODI (One Day International) series beating the West Indies by two wickets in the final match on December 8.
The visitors in the tour clinched the two-match Test series by 2-0 against Bangladesh.
