HABIGANJ: An sexagenarian was allegedly strangled by his neighbor following a trifle matter in Daulatpur Village under Baniachang Upazila of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Kadir, 65.
Locals sources said, Kadir’s neighbor Farid Mia strangled him around 9:00am following an altercation over a missing goat.
Police sources said, on information a team of Navy police led by Sub-Inspector Amirul Islam, recovered the body and sent it to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The autopsy could say whether it was a murder or normal death, the SI said.
