Woman kills husband at Dhamrai

DHAKA: A woman allegedly killed her husband at Islampur in Dhamrai municipality early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Hasan Mia, 25, son of Lalu Mia of Tetulia village of the upazila.

Police said Hasan got married with Swapna Akter, 18, daughter of Ratan Mia of Ashulia Thana about six months ago.  They often quarreled over trifle issues after their marriage.

Following the conflict, Swapna allegedly killed her husband and hung the body from ceiling fan with rope and fled away.   

Locals informed police of the body which they noticed hanging with a rope inside the house at about 9:00am.

On information, police rushed in and brought the body to thana.

Dhamrai Thana OC Alamgir Hossain told banglanews that the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
