SOUTH DHAKA: A student stabbed a teacher to death for obstructing him from copying in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in city’s Keraniganj area on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa Bhuiyan, 45.
Sources said Mostafa obstructed a student from copying in SSC mathematics examination on Sunday.
The student called Mostafa out of his house in Chunkuthia Purbapara area and stabbed him around 8:00am on Monday.
Later, locals rushed him to Mitford Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, angry students from different schools of the area blockaded Dhaka-Mawa road in protest against the killing.
Meanwhile, teachers and students are staging demonstration in front of the school.
South Keraniganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Sakhawat Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
