KHULNA: The authority of Khulna University (KU) has taken up a daylong programme to observe the National Mourning Day and 37th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The programmes include hoisting of the national flag at half-mast and black flag in front of the Administrative Building and at all residential halls and placing floral wreaths at the Bangabandhu`s portrait.
Meanwhile, narration from holy Quran will be held at University Jame Mosque around 10am.
A mourning-rally will be brought out from Shaheed Minar premises around 10:30am.
Besides, inauguration of a photo exhibition is scheduled at the no-2 academic building around 11am alongside a discussion meeting at the building auditorium around 11:30am.
The day’s programmes will be followed by a Doa Mahfil and Iftar party at the Mosque around 6pm.
