DHAKA: The 13th Textech Bangladesh-2012 International Expo, an international exhibition of garments and textile of Bangladesh, begins at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Tuesday.
CEMS-Global, USA-Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd in association with CEMS Bangladesh have organized the event with a view to introduce local stakeholders of RMG sectors with the latest development and present global trend of the industries.
Commerce Minister GM Quader is likely to inaugurate the expo at about 4 pm Tuesday.
According to source, nearly 450 exhibitors from 22 countries including the United States and the United Kingdom, China, India, Pakistan and Japan will participate in the exhibitions.
Among others, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) vice president Faruque Hassan and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) first vice president Habibur Rahman will attend the inaugural function.
The exhibitions will remain open for trade and business visitors from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm every day.
