DHAKA: Seven senior leaders of the Awami League-led 14-party alliance have taken oath as new ministers and state ministers at Bangabhaban on Thursday afternoon.
The President M Zillur Rahman administered the oath around 3:00pm in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Bangabhaban.
Of the seven, Awami League Presidium Member Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Hasanul Haque Inu, Whip Mujibul Haque, AL lawmakers AH Mahmud Ali of Dinajpur and Mostafa Farukh Mohammad were made ministers.
Besides, Awami League lawmakers Omar Faruk Chowdhury of Rajshahi-1 constituency and Abdul Hye of Jhenidah-1 took oath as state ministers.
