DHAKA: An 18-day solo art show by Afro-French artist Dr Lambert Shumbusho will begin July 12 in Dhaka.
The show titled ‘Heavy Metal’ will be arranged by Bengal Art Lounge at its gallery city’s Gulshan area.
The Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh Mehmet Vakur Erkul will inaugurate the show at 7:00pm on the day.
Artist Shumbusho will also speak, among others, at the inaugural session.
According to the organisers, all works to be displayed in the exhibition are made of scrap metals including cans, tin, wires and other found objects.
Born in 1964, Afro-French artist Dr Lambert Shumbusho has been trying to present the warmth as well as the mystery of Africa.
A total of 16 artworks will be on display at the show, to remain open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm till July 29.
