Prof Sirajul Islam’s death anniv Monday

DHAKA: The 7th death anniversary of the eminent educationist Professor Muhammad Sirajul Islam will be observed on Monday.

Professor Sirajul served as the Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University and Chairman of Department of Islamic History of Dhaka University.

Apart from this, he was also a professor of MIT and Harvard University.

He also worked as the director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and a member of Public Service Commission.

Professor Sirajul Islam died in 2005 and he was buried at Intellectuals’ Graveyard in city’s Mirpur area.

His colleagues, friends, students and well-wishers are requested to pray for his departed soul.
