CHAPAINAWABGANJ: The Local administration imposed section 144 for indefinite period in Shibganj municipality from Saturday morning as Awami league and BNP convened separate programmes at the same venue at the same time.
Sources said local administration imposed section 144 to be enforced from 10:00am on Saturday to till further direction apprehending disruption of law-and-order in the area.
Additional police force has been deployed in the area to avert any untoward situation, said sources concerned.
Meanwhile, law enforcers, by setting up check posts, raided in the area from Friday night to avert violance.
