BD mission observe Rabindra-Nazrul anniversary

DHAKA: The birth-anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam was observed at Bangladesh mission in the United Nations on Wednesday afternoon.

Mission’s first secretary (press) Mamun-or-Rashid informed it to banglanews through an E-mail message.

As per the message, noted Rabindra Sangeet artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya and Nazrul singer Ferdous Ara sang several songs on the occasion that held at about 5pm (New York local time).

Bangladesh`s permanent representative to the United Nations Dr. AK Abdul Momen addressed the program.

Bangladesh Mission and Consulate General office jointly organized the progam marking the anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore and Nazrul Islam.
