SYLHET: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir categorically said it is not possible to protect democracy of the country if the incumbent government is not ousted.
The senior leader of the party came up with the observation while addressing a rally organized by local BNP held at Biswanath of the district Tuesday.
He said, “The incumbent government should ousted and people will no more tolerate undemocratic behavior of Awami League.”
The government has abducted Ilias Ali as he protested on Tipaimukhi Dam issue. “We will continue our movement until he is returned back,” he said.
Earlier the opposition spokesperson visited MC College. He said, “The incident of abduction of Illias and set fire in MC College are interrelated.”
The rally was addressed, among others, by party’s vice chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and upazila BNP president Jalal Uddin.
